Stainless Steel 440C Sheet and Plates is a high-carbon martensitic alloy known for exceptional toughness, strength and corrosion resistance. Its composition is about 1.0-1.2% carbon, 16-18% chromium, manganese, silicon, phosphorus and trace amounts of sulfur. The material provides corrosion resistance, making it ideal for products that require durability in extreme conditions. Mechanical properties include tensile strength of 860-1030 MPa, yield strength of 620 MPa, and heat-hardened strength of 58 to 60 HRC Stainless steel 440C is commonly used in bearings, valves and tools.
