**Stainless Steel 440B Angle** is a martensitic stainless steel with high carbon content, 16–18% chromium, and around 0.75% carbon, which allows it to attain high hardness by heat treatment. This grade has a tensile strength of 740–950 MPa and high wear and abrasion resistance. SS 440B has moderate corrosion resistance in clean and slightly corrosive environments and is magnetic in all conditions. The fact that it can be heat-treated to a very hard structure makes it particularly suitable for applications where friction and mechanical stress are involved.
