Stainless Steel 3CR12L Sheets and Plates are utility-grade, low-carbon ferritic stainless steels that contain chromium (10.5–12.5%) and very little nickel, carbon (≤0.03%), manganese, or silicon. This low-carbon version lowers the chance of intergranular corrosion while improving weldability. About 450–550 MPa of tensile strength, 250 MPa of yield strength, and good elongation (18–25%) are all provided by 3CR12L. It remains strong at moderate temperatures and works well in mildly corrosive conditions. Excellent toughness, ease of fabrication, and structural performance in a variety of light to medium-duty applications are all facilitated by the ferritic structure of the alloy.
