After being exposed to high temperatures, this stabilised grade resists intergranular corrosion and sensitisation. It has a yield strength of about 205 MPa, a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, and an elongation of about 35–40%. Up to 870°C, the alloy retains good mechanical strength and resistance to oxidation. It is perfect for harsh thermal and chemical environments due to its exceptional formability and weldability, particularly in situations where post-weld heat treatment is impractical.
