Chromium (16–18%), nickel (10–14%), molybdenum (2–3%), titanium (≥5x carbon content), and iron make up the majority of stainless steel 316Ti sheets and plates. Intergranular corrosion resistance is improved by the titanium addition, particularly following welding or exposure to high temperatures. In terms of mechanical properties, 316Ti provides a tensile strength of about 515 MPa, a yield strength of about 205 MPa, and an elongation of roughly 35–40%. Additionally, it has outstanding creep and stress rupture strength.
