It has a tensile strength of approximately 520–680 MPa and superior work hardening qualities. Though its corrosion resistance is lower than that of SS 304, it has good corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive conditions. SS 201 is also non-magnetic when annealed and possesses good weldability and formability.
