Stainless Steel 15-5 PH is a martensitic precipitation-hardening stainless steel alloy containing chromium (14–15.5%), nickel (3.5–5.5%), and controlled amounts of copper, manganese, and carbon. It has excellent mechanical strength, hardness, corrosion resistance, and stability of dimensions following heat treatment. 15-5 PH is rich in transverse toughness and higher uniformity than its predecessor, 17-4 PH, and is supplied in numerous heat-treated conditions (H900–H1150).
