The alloy maintains tensile strength of up to 1100 MPa and yield strength of about 790 MPa and has excellent corrosion resistance. Monel K500 is resistant to stress-corrosion cracking and is good in both low and high temperatures. These mechanical characteristics render it suitable for load-carrying and corrosive conditions, particularly in offshore and industrial buildings.
