Maraging Steel consists mainly of iron with 18–20% nickel and minor proportions of cobalt, molybdenum, and titanium. Ultra-high strength is obtained through aging heat treatment rather than carbon. These steels are capable of achieving tensile strengths of up to 2100 MPa and yield strengths of over 1800 MPa. While having high strength, they possess high toughness, ductility, and machinability too.
