Hastelloy B3 Sheets and Plates are crafted from a nickel-molybdenum alloy that boasts remarkable resistance to hydrochloric acid and other potent reducing agents. The typical chemical makeup consists of around 65% nickel and 28–30% molybdenum, along with trace amounts of iron, cobalt, and manganese. These sheets and plates provide excellent thermal stability, good ductility, and resistance to stress corrosion cracking. On the mechanical side, Hastelloy B3 showcases a tensile strength of about 760 MPa and a yield strength of roughly 350 MPa. This alloy retains its strength and integrity in both oxidizing and reducing environments, making it perfect for highly corrosive settings.
