Duplex Steel S31803 (UNS S31803) is a nitrogen-strengthened duplex stainless steel having around 22% chromium, 5–6% nickel, and 3% molybdenum with an austenite-ferrite microstructure in balance. This provides it high resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking, together with twice the yield strength of usual austenitic stainless steels.
