Duplex Steel S32205 (UNS S32205) is a nitrogen-strengthened duplex stainless steel with a balanced composition of about 22% chromium, 5–6% nickel, and 3% molybdenum. It provides greater resistance against pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking and twice the conventional austenitic stainless steel yield strength. It also has outstanding weldability and impact toughness, even at low temperature.
