Aluminium 1100 contains at least 99.0% aluminium, along with trace amounts of Copper (0.05 to 0.20%), Iron (up to 0.35%), and Silicon. It provides low tensile strength (around 90 to 150 MPa) and outstanding ductility and thermal conductivity. It cannot be heat-treated for strength but can be cold-worked. Aluminium 1100 is corrosion-resistant in most environments, lightweight, and easy to weld, braze, or solder. Its softness makes it ideal for deep drawing and forming applications. It is an economical choice for products that require high thermal or electrical performance without needing high mechanical loads.
