Alloy 20 generally consists of ~42% nickel, ~20% chromium, ~3% copper, ~2–3% molybdenum, and low carbon. The tensile strength is as high as ~570–620 MPa, and the yield strength is about 300–310 MPa. The alloy shows excellent resistance against sulfuric, phosphoric acids, chloride stress-corrosion cracks, and pitting. It maintains mechanical toughness over wide temperatures and is weldable and formable. Alloy 20 angles exhibit dimensional stability and resistance to fatigue, offering them excellent structural components in heavily corrosive chemical media.
