Titanium Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) is an alloy of 90% titanium, 6% aluminium, and 4% vanadium. This composition offers excellent strength-to-weight ratio, high corrosion resistance, and good weldability. Mechanical properties include a tensile strength of 895 MPa (130 ksi), yield strength of 828 MPa (120 ksi), and elongation of 10-15%. It also has a hardness of approximately 330 Vickers and a 4.43 g/cm³ density. Titanium Grade 5 is ideal for aerospace, medical, and industrial applications requiring strength and durability.
