Stainless Steel 310S is a low-carbon variant of SS 310, which is primarily made up of chromium (24–26%) and nickel (19–22%), with low carbon content to improve weldability and decrease carbide precipitation. The alloy has good mechanical strength, high oxidation resistance, and creep resistance at elevated temperatures. SS 310S is not embrittled by cryogenic temperatures and is also resistant to embrittlement, thus making it perfect for welding and prolonged high-temperature exposure.
