Hastelloy C276 has ~57% nickel, 16% chromium, 15% molybdenum, ~4–7% iron, and trace tungsten and cobalt. It offers tensile strength of about 600 MPa and yield strength of about 240 MPa. The alloy possesses good corrosion resistance in oxidizing environments, strong acids, and media containing chlorides. It remains strong and resists carburization at high temperatures. Hastelloy C276 is weldable and ductile and is easily pliable into thin foils. It also has resistance to stress-corrosion cracking, providing durability against chemically aggressive environments.
