Composition of Inconel 925 consists of nickel (~42–46%), iron (~22%), chromium (~19.5–23.5%), molybdenum (~2.5–3.5%), copper (~1.5–3%), and titanium (~1.9–2.4%). The alloy has good mechanical properties with tensile strength of up to 760 MPa and yield strength of about 520 MPa. It shows good resistance against sulfide stress cracking, chloride ion corrosion, and crevice corrosion. The alloy has good strength and toughness at elevated and cryogenic temperatures. Inconel 925 also undergoes precipitation hardening for enhanced wear resistance and structural integrity in harsh oilfield and marine environments.
