The composition of Alloy C263 comprises approximately 56% nickel, 19% chromium, 16 % cobalt, 4 % molybdenum, in addition to titanium and aluminum. Heat treatment yields tensile strength of up to ~900 MPa and yield strength of approximately ~550 MPa. The alloy has high creep resistance and maintains its strength up to 930°C. Oxidation resistance is also improved with chromium and aluminum content. Even with high strength, Alloy C263 is weldable and machinable with satisfactory ductility and fatigue resistance. It‘s especially well-suited for structural components of high temperatures and aircraft and gas turbine tools.
